Shane Clarkson’s current photographic interests include the genres of creative, portraiture and seascapes. Shane enjoys storytelling via creations of bodies of work that explore a theme and has completed portfolios of the ocean pools on Sydney’s Northern beaches and his Mother’s property in Queensland. Shane is an active participant in camera club competitions where he has received numerous awards for his images and he has also participated in club exhibitions for Head On (2015) and in the Council Chamber’s foyer at Chatswood NSW (2018).

Shane completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Queensland (1986) and a Master of Business in Operations Management at the University of Technology Sydney (1994). Shane spent over 30 years in Supply Chain roles for various multi-national companies and in 2009 took up photography as a hobby. Shane has previously been a member of Ryde Eastwood Leagues Camera Club (2014-2016) where he held the role of club secretary and is currently a member of Northside Creative Photography (2016-present) and holds the role of club president. In 2020 Shane ceased full-time work to undertake a Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging at Hornsby TAFE which will complete in mid-2021.
